Watercolor Sketch

Muito tempo sem postar nada aqui e ultimamente não tenho tido muito tempo para me dedicar a projetos pessoais. Decidi dar uma olhada nos sketchbooks e ver se tinha algo legal para mostrar. Achei essa aquarela que fiz bem rapido um dia sem nem saber onde queria chegar, mas gostei do que saiu.

A longtime without any post here, and now that I'm not having much time to do any personal job, I decided to look at my sketchbooks. I find this quick watercolor sketch that I did a long time ago, and don't really know what I wanted with this one, but i liked the final result.

Um detalhe da região do olho/orelha que foi o que mais me agradou.

Stand By Me - Character Design

Este é um dos meu filmes favoritos. Marcou a minha infância e mesmo sem saber o título dele ou lembrar todas as cenas, algumas cenas chaves e estes personagens ficaram marcados na minha memória. Há algum tempo bateu uma vontade de revê-lo e desde que comprei o DVD assisto pelo menos duas vezes por ano  Esta é a minha ideia de como ficariam os personagens se fosse feita uma serie animada com eles. Acredito que teriam incríveis histórias para serem contadas, mas a censura do politicamente correto mataria a maioria delas.

This is one of my favorite movies. I used to watch it when I was a kid with my Mon, and even without remember the name or the story I always had some scenes in my mind and never forgot this characters. I bought the DVD a couple of years ago and I watched this movie a lot of times after it. This is my idea of the character design for a TV animated series based on this story. But I think most of the things they did in the movie and that they will do in a series are not acceptable anymore in a child program like was in the 80's.

Urban Legends

Comecei a participar de um blog de desafio de desenhos com alguns colegas, este foi o primeiro que fiz. O tema era Lendas Urbanas.

I started a Drawing challenge blog with some friends, this was the first one I did. The subject was Urban Legends.

A escola na qual eu estudei durante toda a minha infância no interior, tinha uma Gameleira gigante, e no meio do tronco desta árvore tinha um buraco. A lenda era, que este buraco levava até o inferno e que o diabo já tinha saído por lá uma vez e levado o primeiro diretor com ele. Me pergunto se as crianças que estudam lá hoje ainda contam esta história.

When I was a kid, I studied in a school that had a big tree in it backyard. The trunk of this tree had a big hole on it, and the people told that this hole was a portal to hell, and that the Devil went out one day and took the first principal of the school with him. It was nice to study in a school with such a creative legend.

'Cause I'm a cowboy

Um desenho que fiz a pedido de um amigo. Acho que este é o estilo/traço que mais me identifico.

My French friend asked me to draw him like a cowboy a couple of times and I decided to do it, even not studying with him anymore. Just for fun.

Game Of Thrones Portraits Skecthes

Um dos motivos de ter ficado tanto tempo sem postar nada, foi que desloquei meu ombro direito e tive que realizar uma cirurgia (sou destro). Isso me tomou muito tempo e fiquei pelo menos um mês e meio sem movimento no braço. O primeiro desenho fiz com o braço direito antes da cirurgia. Os outros dois foram uma experiência  de se desenhar com o braço esquerdo, ja que os fiz enquanto estava imobilizado.

Some sketches I did based on "The Game Of Thrones" TV series. The first one with the right hand and the other two with the left. I'm right-handed. I did this because I injured my right shoulder and had a surgery done on it. I stayed almost 2 months without move, so I tried to improvise and draw with the left arm.
